I think my first cassette tape was a Cliff Richards album. I'm pretty sure my second was East 17. When SpiegelMom Scraps decided that the June theme for all DT projects should be 80's/90's I immediately thought of cassettes.
I fiddled around in Silhouette Studio and made the components for a cassette shaker.
It was fairly easy to cut the relevant pieces from the relevant material. One collated I decided on Neon Summer as my sequin filling. Later on I thought it needed a little more blue so added some Not Quite Navy.
The area for the double sided tape is rather skinny so I cut some tape in to three strips. My top tip for cutting double sided tape is to add the backing from an already used piece to the uncovered sticky side. This way you can cut away without getting your blades stuck together!
And there you have it... a 90's casette full of sequins!
I hope this makes it to a layout soon... stay tuned!
